The Young Buddhists Association of Thailand is a corporate charitable organization primarily funded by donation. More than 20,000 members are engaged with Dhamma practice and related activities, with over 40,000 people having attended such programs yearly. Each year YBAT offers more than 200 Vipassana Meditation Training programs, including activities for children, youth and the general public without charge. Attendants may kindly donate as they wish, based on what they can afford.
With financial and other support all given by devoted practitioners, lay people are able to access and learn from the teachings of Buddha, thus shining light to those who suffer, helping them find a peaceful happiness, which creates more decency in society. To this end,YBAT has set up a Vipassana Meditation Fund to finance Vipassana Meditation Training Projects that are not funded, or are insufficiently funded.
YBAT extends invitation to those who care to kindly donate in support of the Vipassana Meditation Fund. The donations will be strictly used for Vipassana Meditation Training Project’s water, electricity, building maintenance costs and administration expenses (our annual report will show all details of the association’s expenses, in the case that you may wish to verify).
“The greatest giving is providing a chance for someone to experience “Dhamma” Whenever your heart is close to Dhamma, it will flourish and readily pass on the good deeds inside of you to society.” As a result, an endless chain of goodness is formed.
